What Do You Mean HBOT Can Be Sexy? ...Hardshell Bombshell BABY!

So what is sexy anyway?
I don’t know about you, but my definition of sexy has changed as I’ve gotten older to encompass more than the appearance & charisma of someone, but to also understand that it’s really about the eye of the beholder whether someone is sexy or not… really, what vibe the person carries with aspects that look more like the following:
Less inflammation = More energy & vitality
Hormonal health & balance = More even keel moods
Increased blood flow in both directions = Leveled up brain & libido
Change in metabolism = Weight issues under control
Embracing self care & balance = harmony with giving/receiving
Don’t you think that all of the above would equal someone looking and feeling pretty darn sexy? And after all, if a person has their own cup full with self care, they are more apt to share all that good energy with those around them. You know the kind of people I’m talking about, where you can’t quite put your finger on it, but their zest for life, health and balance, makes them a magnet to others.
So, how can HBOT help…I say, how can it NOT?
We will turn to the answer to this question from renowned bestselling author on hormones and nutrition for women, a 20 year veteran in the holistic health field, and featured on television, publications & social media across the country, Dr. Mindy Pelz. Her expertise is on intermittent fasting for hormonal balance, and in addition, knowledge and promotion of advanced healing technology & modalities, such as HBOT & light therapy. Her message is further spread on Apple’s Top 40 science podcasts called “The Resetter Podcast.”
BALANCE is SEXY! Dr. Mindy has developed strategies for women to help manage their hormones and stress at any cycle of life. One of her top suggestions is BALANCE to protect health, and it being critical for hormonal health, which is tied to other functions & systems of the body:
“As we get older, we become more aware of our happiness and where we find it. By taking this awareness a step further and analyzing happiness from a hormonal perspective, we can better understand our bodies and make choices to maximize our mental well-being. Hormones and neurotransmitters are intrinsically tied together, so we must approach our health by targeting both systems.”
One very important sex hormone for both genders is estrogen. It’s equally as important for other functions of the body, such as menstrual cycles for women and in regulating cholesterol for both men and women. It is a sexy hormone because it influences systems that can influence how much cha-cha you have in your step...if you get my drift.
Whether you have too much of it or not enough, can create symptoms such as, lack of libido, moodiness, brain fog, bloating, night sweats, and influence sleep cycles & energy levels, to name a few issues of hormonal imbalance.
What does Dr. Mindy suggest as being a top suggestion to help balance this hormone? - Autophagy Intermittent Fasting. I’ll define this below, buttttt first…..one factor of HBOT is it promotes the process of autophagy for greater hormonal balance, and this good doctor promotes it and combination therapy too!
Get to know more about Dr. Mindy Pelz and an exciting upcoming event with LeAnn Rimes below. This event is to benefit the International Hyperbarics Association’s very own Shannon Kenitz and her Hope Fund through IHA provides hyperbaric oxygen treatment for women & children in need. What is autophagy, why it’s important and how to stimulate it?
Simply put this is a big word for the process of our cells cleaning house. It’s the self cleaning of good cells removing bad cells - for healthier cells to generate even more cells…and let’s keep remembering how important the process of cellular regeneration is for anti-aging benefits, reduction of symptoms, and a much sexier body & brain!!
Yep, that’s correct, in addition, Dr. Mindy attributes autophagy to a stronger immune system…likewise, dysfunction of this process leads to downgrading of the immune system. Examples of the benefits to increased autophagy are improved cognitive function, calmer nervous system, removal of toxic proteins, and cellular regeneration.
Find out about intermittant fasting suggestions from Dr. MIndy on how to stimulate autophagy…and TOP 5 practices on her list for this is HBOT & Red Light Therapy! Read more here!
Look what the science says about HBOT & autophagy…
Hyperbaric oxygen preconditioning (HBO-PC) is being recognized to provide neuroprotection against lack of blood flow (low oxygen) to brain, and other areas with restricted flow...
“Several recent studies confirmed that repeated hyperbaric oxygen preconditioning (HBO-PC) prior to cerebral ischemia or spinal cord ischemia can provide neuroprotection.”
In addition, “autophagy induction is involved in HBO-PC induced neuroprotection on IRI in neurocyte. The hypothesis reveals that autophagy may be a new therapeutic target for cerebral IRI.”
It’s all about CIRCULATION and 02 BABY!!
HBOT & Erectile Dysfunction
The International Journal of Impotence Research has reported, “Erectile dysfunction (ED) is caused by microvascular or macrovascular insufficiency in the majority of patients. Recent studies have shown that hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) can induce angiogenesis in different body organs.” Read more here!
*Angiogenesis is the bodies process where new blood vessels are formed from pre-existing and weakened vessels.
International Hyperbarics Association has put together the following on anti-aging (sexy baby!!) related benefits and HBOT:
…and let us not forget - Let There Be LIGHT, we’re all about combination therapy here! Therapeutic Light Therapy for stimulating balance as well!
Listen or read transcribed version of the podcast below for more information featuring Dr. Mindy & Wes Pfiffner, the owner of Joovy Red Light Therapy (RLT), on how light therapy helps promote balance.
Wes elaborates on the importance of understanding just how reliant we are on light for recovery & balance, but how we still question that ability, for example he explains, “how can it help heal your body, you know, improve performance, hormones, all these different types of things. And if you’re like me, you’re like, No way can do that. But it’s really because of the our, my understanding of light at the time was I just thought it was illumination, I just thought light was something that helped me see in the dark, but when in reality light is energy, and it’s in the form of electromagnetic waves, and so that energy can hit our bodies and we can react to that energy, you know, the sun, the original source of light, it’s what powers the entire universe. So light, when you start thinking about you’re like, it’s actually super important.”
INTERESTING FACT: The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in 2018 released information that up to 93% of time spent by US citizens is mostly being spent indoors. IMBALANCE = NO Good
Wes further discusses importance of balance with one of his companies goals being, “what we try and educate at Joovv specifically is we’re out of balance with the amount of light we’re getting and we’re really out of balance with the amount of red and near-infrared light we’re getting. We’re over exposed to blue light. We have a complete imbalance. In fact, the EPA, the Environmental Protection Agency releases in 2018, 93% of Americans time is now being spent indoors, their lifetime.”
